1. About SockX
SockX is a marketplace platform that connects buyers and sellers of socks — new, worn, or otherwise. SockX does not sell socks directly. We provide a venue where buyers can post wish requests and sellers can choose to fulfill them.
2. How It Works
Buyers post wish requests describing the socks they are looking for, including price, size, and shipping destination. Sellers browse wishes and reach out to buyers to arrange fulfillment. All payment and shipping are handled directly between the buyer and seller. SockX does not process payments, handle funds, or ship goods on behalf of any party.
3. Account Registration
You may create an account using your X (formerly Twitter) login. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. By using SockX, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and legally permitted to use the platform in your jurisdiction. We may require age or identity verification at any time, and may suspend or terminate accounts that fail or refuse verification.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to: post fraudulent, misleading, illegal, or infringing content; upload or request content involving minors, persons whose age is unclear, or any non-consensual, exploitative, or abusive material; post nudity, explicit sexual acts, or other prohibited adult content; harass or abuse other users; use the platform for any purpose unrelated to buying or selling socks; or attempt to circumvent any security, moderation, or enforcement features of the platform.
5. Limitation of Liability
SockX acts solely as a venue connecting buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any transaction between users. SockX is not responsible for: the quality, safety, legality, or authenticity of any socks listed or exchanged; disputes between buyers and sellers; payment failures, fraud, or chargebacks; shipping delays, loss, or damage. All transactions are conducted at the sole risk of the parties involved.
6. No Warranties
SockX is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any wish will be fulfilled.
7. Content & Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of content you post (wish descriptions, images, etc.), but grant SockX a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content for operation, moderation, and promotion of the platform. You represent and warrant that you own or control all rights necessary to post the content, that the content does not infringe the rights of others, and that every identifiable person depicted is an adult who has given all necessary consent.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms or engage in conduct harmful to the platform or other users.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of SockX after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. User Responsibility and Legal Compliance
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of SockX, including any listings, communications, images, and transactions, complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and platform policies in your location and in the locations of the other parties involved. SockX does not provide legal advice and does not guarantee that any activity on the platform is lawful in a particular jurisdiction.
11. Age-Restricted Content
SockX is intended only for adults aged 18 and older. Any content, listings, messages, or images that depict, reference, promote, or appear to involve a minor are strictly prohibited. We may remove such content immediately, report it where required, and permanently ban the responsible account.
12. Content Review and Removal
We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to review, restrict, remove, or report any listing, image, profile, or message that we believe violates these terms, creates legal risk, or is otherwise harmful to users or the platform. We may take these actions without prior notice.
13. Enforcement and Cooperation
You agree to cooperate with reasonable requests for information related to safety investigations, policy enforcement, or legal compliance. Failure to cooperate may result in account suspension, content removal, or permanent account termination.
